I absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was like a little French bistro or cafe, and the food was delicious. I went for lunch and got the smoked salmon bagel with a side of deviled eggs. Tasted so fresh and was not over filling. The cute little shop had so many kitchen gadgets and decor. They also have macarons, cheese, meats and chicken salad you can take home. Just a great experience.

I had an absolutely amazing time at this restaurant recently. The food was so authentic that it felt like I was transported to a whole new culinary world. I enjoy stopping at the Gourmet Shop whenever I'm in Columbia, SC! Such a neat place for lunch, a little shopping of unique items, cheeses, and a great selection of wines. This particular time I tried the Turkey Pesto sandwich with the pesto pasta side and a glass of unsweetened iced tea. As always, everything was delicious. I did give the service a 3-star rating due to having to wait roughly 15 minutes before anyone even asked if I was being served. After that though, the waiter that did wait on the table was fantastic and very pleasant. This will continue to be a regular stop when I'm traveling to SC. I highly recommend checking it out.

My new favorite place for brunch in Columbia! While it’s a popular establishment with locals and students, it had a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered coffee and the Breakfast Panini, both of which I loved. I enjoyed browsing the store afterwards, and before I left I ordered dessert from the display case. I had a slice of the cookie butter cake and it was three delicious layers of vanilla and cookie toppings. My experience here was the highlight of my morning, and The Gourmet Shop is the highlight of Five Points!

I ordered the chicken salad with crossiant and veggies Italian pasta salad. Finished off with peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. Great atmosphere and staff very patient and kind. Amazing things to purchase for the holidays. The food very fresh and delicious.

This place has it all! With a large and eclectic selection of wines, cheese, and everything delicious. Atmosphere is bright and inviting. Prices are more than reasonable and service was beyond accommodating. I just bought some wine and cheese from the shop side but I plan on trying the cafe next time. Thank you for making a new comer’s day. I will be returning often!
